Patna serial blasts suspect escapes from NIA custody, police lodge FIR
A suspect in the Patna serial blasts case, Mehrar Alam, on Thursday escaped from the custody of National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to reports, the NIA team has lodged an FIR in this regard.
Reports also said that the suspect fled under the pretext of using the washroom while being questioned about the serial blasts in the Bihar capital.
The suspect escaped from near the Muzaffarpur railway station.
Six persons were killed and 82 others injured in the serial blasts at Gandhi Maidan and surrounding areas in Patna before and during the rally of Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
