World needs Non-violence more than ever: Martin Luther King III

The World today needs nonviolence more than ever before. This was stated by Martin Luther King-III, the son of the renowned champion of the American Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King Junior, while interacting with the media in Kolkata today. Mr. King said in a world facing terrorism and conflicts, the message of nonviolence is eternal, and that there is no dispute that cannot be settled across the table. He urged the young generation to take up nonviolence as a policy in all walks of life and to settle every conflict through dialogue. Terming the election of Mr. Barak Obama as the American President as an event of huge significance, Mr. King said that the election proves the American society has come of age.
