NMDC pays interim dividend of Rs 401.77 crore

The National Mineral Development Corporation( NMDC) Limited on Thursday paid an interim dividend of Rs. 401.77 crore to the government. Receiving the cheque from the NMDC Chairman Union Minister for Steel, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan complimented NMDC for its outstanding performance.

He said that NDMC's 4 million tonne steel plant in Chhattisgarh would come ahead of schedule. Mr. Paswan said that the steel sector in the country had a golden period for the last five years and is equipped to face any slowdown. Earlier NMDC had announced 103 per cent interim dividend to shareholders.
